He added that Jonathan was not someone that was prepared for leadership but became the president of the country either by "misfortune or fortune".

Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, has said that the greatest undoing of former president, Goodluck Jonathan, as a leader was squandering his goodwill and surrounding himself with ethnic and religious bigots.

-Goodluck Jonathan was misled by religious and ethnic bigots who surrounded him. "Principal, you must tell me where the girls are". Sadly, when the president came in, he was still in that mood. "We are wishing him all the best", he said. "They said I was hiding the girls to embarrass him", he said. They will get an offer to bring in a cargo of 20,000 litres they will bring in 5,000 to be stamped for 20,000 and instead of making 10 per cent, they make ten times the amount. "Commissioner of Police, you have to tell me"...

Shettima disclosed that because of Jonathan's honesty, "he recently confided in Sen".

He added that in spite of the situation, Jonathan was an honest man.

Mr Dele Momodu, while presenting the book to the public, said that the intrigues and the behind-the-scenes in the Jonathan's administration captured in it, were mind-bugling.

"There was a time he wanted to remove me at all costs".

It would be recalled that Governor Shettima had once told former President Jonathan that "it is absolutely impossible to defeat Boko Haram".

"Two Nigerians stood out".

"He sought the opinion of Mohammed Adoke Bello, the then attorney-general".

"You don't have the power to remove even an elected councilor", Shettima quoted Adoke as saying. Then, he sought the opinion of other Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, in his team, the Minister of Special Duties, Tanimu Turaki. "And that was how the matter died".

While commenting on the agitation for restructuring, Shettima, said focus should be on delivering good governance instead of the clamour for restructuring.

"If Shettima had half a brain he would have known that Jonathan's ascendancy to power is a product of hardwork, competence and consistency, and a sheer display of brilliance in governance, something Shettima will never understand or have".

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the occasion was attended by APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun and members of the party's National Working Committee.

Displeased by Shettima's assertion, Omokri challenged the governor to publish his WAEC certificate alongside that of President Muhammadu Buhari since he described Jonathan as simpleton.

"President Jonathan was not humiliated out of office".
