Bayonetta 3 revealed exclusively for Nintendo Switch

Friday, 08 Dec, 2017

In one of the best kept secrets that no one saw coming both Bayonetta 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch for the release of Bayonetta 3's exclusive Switch release.

With its predecessors arriving in 2018, it could be 2019 or later until Bayonetta 3 makes its way to the Switch. A teaser trailer showed gameplay footage of the action game cult classics running on Switch in handheld mode - the first time the games have been playable on the go. Bayonetta 2 will be in cartridge form, while the original game will be a free download.

President Reggie Fils-Aime took to the stage at The Game Awards 2017 to announce the special surprise.

And, like so numerous announcements tonight, that's all we get. There's no release window for the newest entry in the franchise, but at least the first two games will keep you happy while you wait. Still, what an incredible get for Nintendo as it heads into the second year of the Switch.
