THE brother of an SAS TV star has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing his own eight-year-old daughter to death.

But less than an hour later cops were called to the home in Valley View, Brownhills, West Midlands, where they found Mylee with stab wounds.

The little girl was rushed to hospital suffering from knife wounds on Saturday evening, but medics were unable to save her and she died shortly after arriving.

The 54-year-old man taken to hospital is now in a stable condition and will be questioned "in due course" over the incident in Valley View, a residential street on the edge of the town.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough from the force's homicide unit, said: "This is an absolutely tragic set of circumstances and my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected".

Another neighbour, 74-year-old Graham Greatrex, said: "We heard the commotion and the mother was standing outside our house".

'Our family liaison team are supporting the family of the little girl, who are naturally devastated by her death. "You can't imagine it happening on our doorstep, especially when it's a little girl".

'Our thoughts remain with them'. Police vans, patrol cars and officers are now at the scene on Valley View, in the heavy snow.

Other neighbours said a man in his 50s had moved into the bungalow a couple of months ago but they hadn't seen a young girl there before.

"There were police cars both sides of the road, ambulances. all sorts".

David Taylor, who lives opposite the house, added: "All I heard last night was auto doors banging, so I looked out and saw a load of flashing lights".

"I didn't know there were any kids in there". I thought there might have been a gas leak.

A friend of Bill told The Sun: "I just can't believe he would do something like this".
