She says he got mad and bolted from the steam room. this according to a new interview with the New York Times.
"I knew him pretty well before he attacked me", she told the Times.
In the story, published Saturday, Thurman says that Weinstein attacked her at the Savoy Hotel in London after the release of the 1994 Quentin Tarantino-directed film, which was produced and distributed by Weinstein's company Miramax.
The weird incident led to another alleged encounter in London that she described as "a bat to the head".
'He tried to expose himself. "He did all kinds of unpleasant things", she said. But he didn't actually put his back into it and force me.
'You're like an animal wriggling away, like a lizard. "He told me the door was locked but I never ran over and tried the knob". My track. Not his track'. "They were yellow. And I opened the note like it was a soiled diaper and it just said, 'You have great instincts.'" Not long after, Weinstein's assistants began calling her repeated "to talk about projects", nearly as if the assault had never happened.
However, Thurman's memory of their encounter stops there, with her friend, Ilona Herman, recalling what happened when she finally returned downstairs after a long period of time.
"I am one of the reasons that a young girl would walk into his room alone, the way I did", she said.
Uma also recounted how she feels guilty because, by virtue of her own work with Weinstein and those enabling him, she wondered if younger actresses also made a decision to work with him - and were thus affected by him - following in her footsteps. "She was very disheveled and so upset and had this blank look", Herman said.
Uma Thurman is speaking out about Harvey Weinstein.
The 65-year-old, who has been taking refuge in Arizona since the scandal about him broke in October, has consistently denied the accusations of countless women who say he raped, attacked or harassed them.
Uma warned Harvey the next day, "If you do what you did to me to other people you will lose your career, your reputation and your family, I promise you".
At the time, she said, she didn't feel threatened. "Her eyes were insane and she was totally out of control". She says Tarantino told her she was acting " skittish" around Weinstein at a dinner, and when she reminded him of the Savoy incident (which, she says, Tarantino had previously "probably dismissed") he confronted Weinstein.
Through a representative, Weinstein, who is in therapy in Arizona, agreed that "she very well could have said this". "She was really shaking".
