Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has been handed a major blow by the Kolkata Police following a complaint from his wife Hasin Jahan. The sections that have been brought against Shami include 498A (domestic violence), 506 (criminal intimidation), 307 (attempt to murder), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) and so on.

Kolkata police women's grievance cell has initiated probe against Shami and his five other family members, including the speedstar's elder brother, who was booked with an additional charge of sexual assault. She last evening filed an FIR against her husband, that has 7 charges recorded against him, including an attempt to murder and rape charge. On Wednesday she went to the Lalbazar police headquarters for filing her complaint. I confronted him but he threatened me and dared me to do whatever I wanted, saying he was not afraid of anyone.

Jahan further revealed, "I tried to convince myself for the sake of my family and daughter but he kept on harassing me and when I found those obscene chats with multiple women, all hell broke".

Senior Indian pacer Mohammad Shami has been in a bad light ever since his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence, extramarital affairs, sexual abuse and many more.

She said that Shami and his family members had been torturing her for over two years and had even threatened to kill her.

"If Mohammed Shami can cheat me then he can cheat the country as well".

"It's definitely a part of a big conspiracy against me".

Responding to his wife's allegations on match-fixing, Shami had told ABP News, "She has lost her mental balance, all the allegations made by Hasin are baseless and she will have to provide evidence to prove them". "Whatever I have posted is just the tip of the iceberg". "Whenever I went there, I was tortured by them", she said.

Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami has had his professional contract put on hold by the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India after he was charged by Kolkata Police on Friday.
