Trump attacks 'slime ball' Comey over book

Monday, 16 Apr, 2018

"The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth", is how Comey describes the Trump administration, according to The New York Times.

Comey also has drawn fire from the left for his treatment of the Hillary Clinton pre-election email scandal, so it will be interesting to see how his book is received by Democrats.

Russian Federation has denied interfering in the election.

In the teaser video for the throw-down between the two, the buzz words all come out of Stephanopoulos's mouth, including mob boss, the untold knowledge that can damage Trump, obstruction of justice, and impeachment.

The dossier included intelligence suggesting the Kremlin was engaged in an effort to assist Trump's campaign for president.

It's not from the book, but rather the book tour, but Comey said that the pee tape might be real in the funniest way possible.

"It was my great honor to fire James Comey", Trump tweeted.

The dossier in question was compiled by former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele on behalf of research firm Fusion GPS, and funded by Trump's opponents in the Democratic party.

Comey also claims that the USA president is obsessed with the alleged existence of a video showing Russian prostitutes said to be hired by Trump urinating on each other in a Moscow hotel room.

But when asked if he believed Trump's denials, Comey remembered being mostly stunned. In June previous year, Comey did release detailed memos of his personal interactions with Trump after being fired from his position, a move which didn't violate policy or any laws on the books.

Trump tweeted "James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Twitter Friday: "One of the few areas of true bipartisan consensus in Washington is Comey has no credibility".

Andrew McCabe served as deputy Federal Bureau of Investigation director until he was sacked by Attorney General Jeff Sessions last month. "It was nearly an out-of-body experience for me", he said.

Comey announced his recommendation that Clinton no face charges in July 2016, leading Trump to call the investigation "rigged". That helped Trump and hurt Clinton, not the other way around.

Comey reveals a private assurance he received from President Obama about his handling of Hillary Clinton's emails, the Post reported. Comey was sacked for his handling of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server for classified emails during her time as secretary of state.

"I said, 'Sir, that's up to you. He lied to Congress under OATH".

The White House has unleashed a blistering critique of former FBI Director James Comey as he begins promoting his memoir. But the attention that Comey will attract, both from the media and from readers (it's already the #1 book on Amazon) means that Trump is in for a rough stretch. Kelly has been increasingly marginalized in the White House and the president has mused to confidants about firing him. Comey was also joined by NSA Director Mike Rogers, CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

"I started to tell him about the allegation was that he had been involved with prostitutes in a hotel in Moscow in 2013 during the visit for the Miss Universe pageant and that the Russians had filmed the episode, and he interrupted very defensively and started talking about it, you know, 'Do I look like a guy who needs hookers?'" Comey recalled. Instead, he writes, they launched into a strategy session about how to "spin what we'd just told them" for the public.

Asked how freakish that meeting with Trump was, Comey said: "Very weird".

At another point, Trump said that he wanted the allegations proven false to give Melania peace of mind.
