Since the open, shares have moved -2.69% after recently hitting the $27.46 mark. Williams %R is a popular technical indicator created by Larry Williams to help identify overbought and oversold situations. The ADX was created by J. Welles Wilder to help determine how strong a trend is. In general, an ADX value from 0-25 would indicate an absent or weak trend. This year's performance is 17.44% while this quarter's performance is 0.91%. Many chart analysts believe that an ADX reading over 25 would suggest a strong trend. Whilst a crossing of the center line may be interpreted as a warning of an impending trend change, only values over 70 are usually regarded as a buy signal and those below 30 as a sell signal. Grove Bank & Trust increased its holdings in Energy Select Sector SPDR by 6,582.5% during the 3rd quarter. Alternately, if the indicator goes under -80, this may show the stock as being oversold.

The RSI, or Relative Strength Index is another popular oscillating indicator among traders and investors. The RSI may be useful for spotting abnormal price activity and volatility. The RSI operates in a range-bound area with values between 0 and 100. Generally, the RSI is considered to be oversold when it falls below 30 and overbought when it heads above 70. Active investors may choose to use this technical indicator as a stock evaluation tool. Used as a coincident indicator, the CCI reading above +100 would reflect strong price action which may signal an uptrend. The 14-day RSI is presently standing at 47.20, the 7-day is 58.83, and the 3-day is resting at 84.27.

Taking a look at another technical level, Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF:XLF presently has a 14-day Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of 68.08.

After a recent check, we have noticed that the Chaikin Oscillator is above zero for EM Fixed Income ETF SPDR (EMTL). The Williams %R oscillates in a range from 0 to -100. A CCI reading of +100 may represent overbought conditions, while readings near -100 may indicate oversold territory. Using a bigger time frame to assess the moving average such as the 200-day, may help block out the noise and chaos that is often caused by daily price fluctuations. Many traders will use the ADX in combination with other indicators in order to help formulate trading strategies.
