Fast moving system brings rain and snow to central Montana

Monday, 16 Apr, 2018

Gusty winds develop behind a cold front this morning. This will bring in unseasonably cold air to the area later tonight. Scattered rain is possible for the drive in, and snow could mix in at times. Expect little to no accumulation, due to warm ground temperatures.

It was a cloudy and cool day on Saturday. By afternoon, a few peaks of sunshine possible with high temps only in the mid 30s. Highs in the lower 50s.

A Winter Weather Advisory (purple-shaded area on highlighted map) has been issued for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry and Lake Counties in IL this Saturday evening, as temperatures have dropped to around 32-degrees and the wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow in southern Wisconsin has slipped south into the adjacent IL counties.

Thursday and Friday will be dry, before yet another system brings cool temperatures and a chance for rain and snow.

In the evening, scattered chances go up again slightly as they make the shift from rain, to a mix, and then over to snow for the late evening and overnight. Temperatures will be slow to moderate this week.
