Domhnall Gleeson in Talks to Join 'The Kitchen'

It comes not long after Elisabeth Moss was confirmed for a starring role in the comic book film, joining Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish in portraying three mob wives who get a taste for calling the shots in the criminal underworld when their husbands are sent down.

It looks like Domhnall Gleeson could soon be headed into The Kitchen. Domhnall Gleeson is said to be extremely close to signing on as Vietnam vet Gabriel O'Malley; a man who worked as a hitman and managed to escape the authorities by skipping town.

The Kitchen will follow a trio of NY housewives in the 1970s, who end up taking over their families' criminal enterprises after their mobster husbands are sent to jail. The wives take over their jailed spouses' organized crime operation to become the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in 1970s Hell's Kitchen. However, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation cracks down on the criminal crews, the mafiosos lose their dominion as several of their most dominant men are arrested and thrown in the slammer. "Moss will play a timid wife of an abusive husband who falls in love with the violence of her new life".

Gleeson will next be seen in August's The Little Stranger, which he describes as "a very unsettling psychological ghost story", and he will also reprise his role as General Hux in Star Wars: Episode IX when cameras begin rolling later this year. This would mark Gleeson's second foray into the comic book-inspired space, after a role as "Clan Techie" in 2012's Dredd film.
