Even Robert Downey Jr. Hasn't Seen 'Avengers: Infinity War' Script

Joe Russo explained that he does not believe there is anyone "who can take over Iron Man from Robert". Amidst all the trailers, posters, and so on, Hawkeye and Ant-Man have been noticeably absent.

Russo continued: "He can't play the character forever".

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others. I am sure there are lots other things he wants to do in his career.

In fact, according to Russo, he does not believe that the audience would even accept a new Iron Man after Robert Downey Jr. leaves the MCU. There have been several theories and speculations in this regard, and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) continues to come up with a rather short mortality rate. But he loves playing the character, I know that, and we love working together.

"People have been (living) with these characters for a decade and this is the ending".

As the AVENGERS INFINITY WAR nears the excitement and buzz around the film goes up a notch as fans all over the world as eagerly waiting to see their superhero on the big screen and know what the future holds as the fate of some of these heroes is uncertain.

Although, the Iron Man armor could theoretically live on after the character does. Years ago, we had to wait for which of our favorite magazines had the latest exclusive to hit stands, but now, anyone with a cell phone has the potential to leak the juiciest of information onto the internet.

Avengers: Infinity War will open in theaters on April 27, 2018. Unless you like spoilers, in which case you're a (wo) man after my own heart, and take a look at our full Avengers: Infinity War guide.
