A number of recent comments from Pochettino have suggested that he is not guaranteed to be at the club next term, despite steering Spurs into the Champions League in each of the past three seasons.

He wants the club to "take risks and be brave" as they prepare for a third consecutive season in the Champions League.

The teenagers has scored nine goals and supplied eight assists in 32 games in all competitions for Spurs' development side this season and he was earmarked as the next young talent to break into Mauricio Pochettino's first-team plans.

However, they will have to continue their search elsewhere if, as expected, the Italian departs Stamford Bridge following this weekend's FA Cup final.

Pochettino believes Levy is too cautious and is demanding the backing to make a realistic challenge for the Premier League title next season.

He then admitted his future was uncertain as he prepares for crunch talks with Levy this week over the transfer budget and the club's notorious wage structure.

But the shrewd financier has often failed to fork out top money to managers and Pochettino could find himself frustrated again, with the Manchester clubs set to send big again in the summer.

"Sometimes I have insane ideas in this type of situation".

"It is just one of those things, I wish I could have played more, but you have two players to compete in each position and that is how I would want it at any football club". Even though I haven't played as much as I'd like I feel like I've grown mentally so there are positives to take out of the season.

"That is a little bit up to Daniel of course, to the club, to be happy with us, because after four years I think we need to assess that period".

The Argentine has become increasingly frustrated with Tottenham's failure to back him in the transfer market and made his feelings clear after Sunday's 5-4 win over Leicester. You need to be fearless.

"Since I arrived here, the players have been fantastic, I've really enjoyed it and hopefully next season with our new stadium we can go one more step".
