- The wife of professional golfer Lucas Glover was arrested in Ponte Vedra Beach over the weekend after a domestic dispute, fueled by alcohol and a poor showing at The Players, turned violent.

In a police report obtained by TMZ, Lucas Glover, victor of the 2009 PGA U.S. Open, was attacked along with his mother by his wife Krista.

Krista Glover resisted deputies' efforts to place her in a patrol auto, according to the report, and her tirade continued on the ride to jail. She reportedly flung a plethora of verbal insults his way in addition to the physical violence, allegedly going so far as threatening to flee with the family and not allow him to see his children again.

Although Lucas called the police, he attempted to prevent his wife's arrest. After being arrested, police say Krista Glover became combative and unruly and repeatedly kicked the auto door.

The officer also said that the golfer informed him that his wife had done this before.

TMZ also cited the official police report, which said "Lucas advised me every time he plays poorly in a tournament, Krista begins yelling at him, stating he is a "loser" and "p*ssy" and ultimately starting an altercation with him about his performance". She reportedly attempted to wrap her legs around the auto door, but deputies were able to push her in.

"Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened and Krista will be cleared in this private matter", he wrote on Twitter.

She then put up a struggle as officers attempted to place her in the patrol auto, wrapping her legs around the door and frame, according to the police report. "We thank you for respecting our privacy as we work through this unfortunate situation".

Cops also say Krista kicked the squad auto so hard, the door separated from the frame.

"Wait till the tour hears about this", Krista reportedly said.

Glover won the 2009 U.S. Open and has two other career PGA wins, with the most recent coming at the Wells Fargo Championship in 2011. "You will lose your job".

Deputies noted that Lucas glover backpedaled some of his statements after his wife was placed in handcuffs, saying there had been no fight.
