Ekiti Primary: Al-Makura submits report, attributes success to aspirants, delegates' conduct

"Furthermore, he must demonstrate that he is now a changed person by desisting from telling white lies as he did on National Television yesterday, lying so brazenly that he did not give APC delegates money to get their votes". And whenever we finish our primary elections, and aspirants and stakeholders come together to work as a team, it gladdens our heart as a party.

"This is a calculated plot to destabilize and demonize the APC and give victory to their party in the July 14 election through the back door but I am certain that the desperate and mischievous agenda of the PDP will fail on a final note", he said.

Meanwhile, APC chieftain, Comrade Timi Frank has mocked APC chieftains who expressed dissatisfaction at the outcome of ward congresses of the party nationwide and the botched governorship primary in Ekiti, asking them to accept the result of their silence in the face of impunity.

"The party leaders and members know that Fayemi has no use for any of them beyond the July 14 election" Fayose then appealed to those trampled under feet by Fayemi, especially those of them who were members of PDP, to return home. This is the time for you to escape from the APC's sinking boat and return home to a rousing welcome. He may deceive them in Abuja but he is a paper weight at home.

"Until he does all these, his apology will only be seen as part of the political gimmicks that he is known for and Ekiti people will never take him seriously".

It is on record that hoodlums disrupted penultimate Saturday the APC primary held at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium after delegates from five councils of the 16 had voted, but security operatives heavily manned Saturday's election venue.

While tabling the report, the committee declared that no petition was received on the primary election conducted in the Ekiti state capital, Ado-Ekiti last Saturday, May 12.

Of surprise was the performance of Kayode Ojo, a business tycoon, who trailed the two front-liners to come third.

"We are resolved to align Ekiti State and her good people with the progressive transformation being championed by the APC-led government of President Buhari and no stoned shall be left un-turned in ensuring that this dream is achieved", he said.

By this victory, Fayemi will be contesting the governorship seat of the state with Prof.

He said all efforts were now geared towards winning the July 14 Ekiti governorship election, adding that the party's national campaign committee for the election will soon be set up.
