Bruce Springsteen on the Tony Awards

His comments come after a whirlwind few days that saw Trump attend the G-7 summit in Quebec, his first visit to Canada as president. The Boss was there to receive a special award in honor of his marathon one-man show (with a little help from wife Patti Scialfa), Bruce Springsteen on Broadway.

When Robert De Niro stepped up to the microphone at an event in Toronto on Monday morning, he had a few more choice words to say about President Trump.

The Tony Award show rant was actually dialed back a bit for Robert De Niro, who had previously said he wanted to punch Donald Trump in the face.

Heffernan, who has also been a regular presence in the New York Times, Slate and Wired over the years, has always been critical of Trump in her writing.

De Niro, left, and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa are partners on the new project. It was censored for the TV audience, but De Niro's lips were easy to read.

On Sunday night during the Creative Arts portion of the Tony Awards ceremony, Dobson showed the audience at Radio City Music Hall just how valuable a quality foley artist can be to a production.

Expressing his upset after Trump won the election, he told the Hollywood Reporter: "I feel like I did after 9/11".

"Robert De Niro said "F*** Trump" and got a standing ovation at the Tony Awards. Its disgusting. It's great to be here in Toronto", De Niro said to applause at the groundbreaking of Nobu Restaurant, Hotel and Residences on Mercer St.

Trump is yet to respond to De Niro's latest outburst, but we can be pretty sure he probably will. "Our baby-in-chief - the j***-off-in-chief, I call him - has put the press under siege, ridiculing it and trying to discredit it through outrageous attacks and lies". But De Niro stepped up to the mic and made a decision to get one thing out of the way first. Garfield said during his acceptance speech, referencing the Supreme Court's decision to side with a Colorado baker who refused to make a cake for a same-sex couple. I say F... DeNiro!
