"It is with great respect for the leader, the author, the TV entertainer, the visionary Anthony Bourdain that I express all my condolences to his family and to the anonymous people around the world who he made dream so much", Nasti said in a statement Saturday. Gladys spoke fondly of her son's writing ventures to Today, noting that he had an "incredible vocabulary" and his second grade teacher wanted to move him to a private school because he had surpassed so many of his peers in reading.

"Our little girl had her concert today", Ottavia Busia-Bourdain captioned the Instagram photo.

Bourdain was vocal of the #MeToo movement after Argento accused Harvey Weinstein of rape.

The world was left in a state of shock when Anthony was found dead in his hotel room in France on Friday, June 8, during a day off from filming Parts Unknown.

CNN confirmed Bourdain's death Friday morning.

Shortly after the news of Bourdain's death, Argento, an Italian actress and filmmaker, took to Twitter with a statement: "Anthony gave all of himself in everything that he did".

McGowan shares that when Bourdain and Argento met, it was "instant chemistry" but that, sadly, the two both battled depression.

He went on to write, jokingly: 'She's an interesting woman. "He was my love, my rock, my protector".

A rep for Bourdain, as well as his brother Christopher, did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment. In Season 4, Bourdain finally made his way to the nation of Iran, which had always been a goal for him and the show. But perhaps most importantly, Bourdain was genuinely curious about the people and cultures he visited (and the foods they ate).

Bourdain's mother has said funeral arrangements have been put on hold until authorities in France allow his body to be flown home.

"Tony will be greatly missed not only for his work but also for the passion with which he did it", Zucker said, according to CNN. Nobody's ever going to say, 'Oh, but you promised we were going to go to the beach.' No, you know, you get a gig, that's it.
