Chelsea are also looking to Juventus to solve some of their defensive problems, with a long-standing interest in centre-back Daniele Rugani, as the Italian coach looks to re-invent a squad that failed to qualify for the Champions League last season.

Italian website Sport Mediaset are reporting today that Chelsea are close to making an agreement with Juventus over the transfer of striker Gonzalo Higuain.

However, in a conversation with Sky Italy, the brother of Higuain, who is his agent, confidently stated that he is not negotiating with either Chelsea or any other club.

Nigeria winger Victor Moses will work under a new manager at English Premier League outfit Chelsea in the new season with the club expected to name Maurizio Sarri as Antonio Conte's replacement early next week, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. "He wants to respect his contract with Juventus, would be great to see Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo playing together again".

The 30-year-old Higuain had played under Sarri at Napoli where they finished behind Serie A champions, Juventus on second spot. In all competitions the forward has made 105 appearances, scoring 55 goals and giving 12 assists. He is very happy in the city, at the club, with the coach and the tactical system.

According to the same story, Chelsea FC still have some work to do to complete a deal to make Sarri their next manager following a hard season under his compatriot Antonio Conte. "Secondly, Gonzalo is happy in Turin so I see no real chance of leaving".
