Kylie Jenner on Forbes cover for richest self-made women

The 20-year-old graces the cover of Forbes' August issue and the magazine estimates her current wealth at a whopping $900 million.

She has a handful of full time employees, a factory in China and her marketing and finances are managed by the Kardashian matriarch, Kris Jenner.

One person wrote, "To call Kylie Jenner a self-made billionaire is like saying you made soup from scratch because you opened a can of it and put it in the microwave".

In addition to bringing in millions from her families' reality shows and many more millions from product endorsement deals, Forbes estimates her booming makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics, is worth almost $800 million.

In an interview with the magazine, Jenner, 20, credited her social media following for the giant business she has built. In comparison, Kim Kardashian West is estimated to be worth around $350 million.

Last month, ET caught up with Kim at the launch of her KKW Beauty and Fragrance pop-up shop in Los Angeles, where she revealed how her and husband Kanye West's eldest daughter, 5-year-old North, is already making her own beauty decisions.

"Social media is an awesome platform; I have such easy access to my fans and my customers". Within the next year, she's set to become the youngest self-made billionaire ever, besting Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Snapchat king Evan Spiegel.

"Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow", she remembers. I do feel like people don't take me seriously as a businesswoman because of my age and my reputation.

Jenner told Forbes that she invested $250,000 of her own money from modeling gigs in 2015 to pay an outside company to produce the first 15,000 lip kits that eventually launched into a full-fledged cosmetic line. Jenner is both the face of the company and the sole owner. Kylie Cosmetics has sold $630 million worth of make up since its inception and Kylie own 100% of Kylie Cosmetics.

Of course, it all started with her now-infamous "Kylie Lip Kits", which she reportedly trademarked when she was just 17.

"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi, if she's into it."
