This is what Meghan Markle wore to her first royal christening

The event, held at Glencairn House, had 300 people in attendance, including soccer player Brian O'Driscoll and writer Sinead Burke. Prince William and Prince Harry were decked out in their military finest. According to royal reporter, Rebecca English, the 33-year-old said, "We're so pleased to be here, for our first official worldwide visit together as a married couple, and we hope it will be the first of many". They will go on to a garden party at the Glencairn House - the United Kingdom embassy in Dublin.

Meghan, who is the newest in-law to be welcomed into the Royal family, may well have been hoping to score some extra brownie points with her clever choice of outfit colour.

After years of Hollywood championing the down-to-there-low-V plunging neckline and the naked dress, the newly-minted Duchess of Sussex otherwise known as former actress Meghan Markle, has ushered in a new era in which chaste and modest cuts are as glamorous as the barely there aesthetic.

On the accessories front, Meghan carried a black Givenchy clutch, Birks earrings, and Aquazzura shoes.

The newlyweds have a series of engagements lined up over the next 48 hours.

This includes attending a Gaelic sports festival at Croke Park and a summer garden party at the British Ambassador's residence.

Harry and Meghan will "meet the people of Dublin and visit organisations which are central to Irish life".
