Billy Knight was facing child sex abuse charges

It's the second death of a former UCLA basketball player in the past week.

Another tragedy has hit the UCLA basketball family after Billy Knight, was found dead in Phoenix on a roadway, a week after another former player committed suicide, reports ESPN.

TMZ Sports has the weeks before Knight apparently killed himself, the 39-year-old was arrested and charged with 6 felonies for sexual encounters involving a girl under the age of 15.

Knight also said he believed the video would be his "last message on earth".

Before Knight died, he posted a video to the internet several days before titled "I am Sorry Lord", wherein he said he didn't feel he belonged on Earth.

Former Phoenix Suns head coach and UCLA teammate Earl Watson posted a video clip on Instagram of him and Knight laughing in a vehicle. That's why my life ended up where it is now.

Knight's body was found at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter by the Phoenix Fire Department. You can't play around with life. "I just asked God for forgiveness for all the wrong I've done".

Knight averaged 14.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game as a senior at UCLA in 2001-02. I isolated myself from my family members, I isolated myself from my friends. He follows by admitting to a life of sin, discussing mental illness, and apologizing to his family and friends.

"Our hearts are heavy after learning Billy Knight has passed away", the UCLA men's basketball Twitter account posted Tuesday. "We ask that the Bruin family keep Billy's loved ones in their thoughts during this hard time", tweeted the UCLA men's basketball program. Knight played professionally overseas including stints in France and Japan and worked as a basketball skills coach.
